FARMERS MARKET BAG DESIGN
You will be creating a design for reusable canvas bags that are handed out at the Portland Farmers Market locations.  Complete the steps below:
  1. Go to the link and read about the competition.
  2. Download the guidelines and read the restrictions.
  3. Research the Portland Farmers Market.
    • What is available at the markets?
    • Who shops at them?
    • Why do people shop at the markets instead of a grocery store?
    • What are the benefits to shopping at the farmers market?
      • the impact of local produce on the economy
      • the impact of local produce on the environment
      • the taste and quality of local produce
      • the taste and quality of the meat (what are some reasons it might be better)
      • how do farmers markets benefit local farmers
      • what else can you get or enjoy at a farmers market besides produce and meats?
Once you have finished your research create 5 - 10 idea sketches to share with myself and your peer. Get out of your box. Do your research.
