  1. Get out a piece of paper and a pen or pencil.

  3. Read through the entire slideshow.
  4. Go back to the Journal section and write your responses on your sheet of paper.
  5. Turn paper into sub.
  6. Start your artwork.

This series of assignments are inspired by the assignments and instructors at the School of Visual Arts in New York City.  You will need to gather books and handouts to begin.  Look through all the choices and select 3.

 My lovely graphic design students....  You need to work on your branding project.  The company can be yours or you can invent a company.  You need to include pieces beyond the logo, business card, envelop and letterhead.  I am looking for a comprehensive package. You can include designs for phones, computers, cups, bags....  Be creative! Explore the possibilities. 

IDENTITY PACKAGE & Branding

 For this project you need to create the following:
  • Logo - any size
  • Letterhead (stationary) - 8.5 x 11 (letter size)
  • Business Card - 2 x 3.5 (traditional size)
  • Envelope - 4 1/8 x 9 1/2 (traditional size)
  • Digital media interface design
  • Products or items (cups, pencils, stickers..)
  • A digital display of the entire Identity Package/Branding
Create your designs in illustrator to the following specs:
  • Logo - Monogram or Symbol
  • Letterhead includes - Name (yours or business), address, phone, email/web, logo
  • Business Card - same as Letterhead
  • Envelope - Name, Logo, Address, Phone Optional
When you have finished arrange them on a single document. Include an accent background color and drop shadow.  Do not scale your work.  Keep at 100% size.  Ask me if you are confused.
